Biography
His name is already very familiar in the Indian
musical arena. Shuvodeep was born in a family
enriched with musical tradition. He has got
inspiration from all his family members
particularly from his mother. He took his
tutelage from Prof. Jatileshwar Mukherjee and
Prof. Adhir Bagchi. Now he is getting his
training in Tappa & puratani from Sri Chandidas
Mal, Ghazals and Light songs from Sri Kalyan Sen
Barat a renowned Music Director of Calcutta. He
is having his Classical as well as Light music
training from Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty. He has
stood 1st class 1st in M.A. (Music) from
Rabindra Bharati University, Calcutta. He is
attached with State Music Academy of West Bengal
Government and was awarded thrice for his
performances by the Academy.
He is a versatile performer in all the Indian
style songs, mainly in light classical songs
based on Indian Classical music, Ghazals,
Devotional songs, Pure Classical, Old and Modern
Bengali songs.
